Shorthanded Panthers Look Sharp, Dominate Bethany 100-51
Playing on back to back nights, Neosho County was only able to suit up 7 players for their rematch against Bethany JV. The 7 proved to be more than enough, as the Panthers jumped out to an early 18-6 lead and never looked back. Using a 3 center rotation, often playing 2 at a time, and utilizing a size advantage to clean up on the boards, the Panthers won the rebound battle 49-24. The Panthers also used their size and athleticism to control the game defensively, limiting the Swedes to 31% shooting on the night.
On offense, NCCC got impact performances from Traymond Willis-Shaw (24 points, 5 rebounds, 9/14 FGs), Jamari Robinson (22 points, 3 assists, 10/13 FGs), and Michael Odingo (18 points, 4 assists, 4/5 3PT FGs). The team as a whole had arguably their best offensive performance of the season as they shot 62% from the field and 53% from 3PT.
The Panthers will now get a month off before they host Baptist Bible College on January 14th.
