Beaver Cheer wins Region VI Intermediate Large Co-ed Championship

The Beaver cheer team competed at the Region VI championships on Sunday, March 5 in Olathe, KS. Pratt competed in the intermediate large coed division and won a regional championship. It was the program's fourth consecutive conference title between traditional routine or gameday. This conference title was won under "intermediate large coed" in the past the team has competed small co-ed and/or gameday.

"The team has been presented challenge after challenge starting all the way back in July of 2022, which has most recently included receiving their national's choreography and having to make large modifications within that choreography all in less than a month before they competed the routine," said Head Cheerleading Coach Shae Napier. "It took a very high level of commitment and drive to not just execute a routine, but to score high enough to place first. We still have a lot of work to do between now and April 4th, but we have laid the groundwork for the team to continue to build on all the hard work and success so far. I am excited to see them continue to flourish and what the future has in store for the team as they continue to believe in themselves and trust the process of learning how to be the best version of a student athlete for themselves and their team."

The team is now preparing to compete in their third straight National Cheerleaders Assocation College Nationals from April 5-9 in Daytona Beach, FL.
