Sterling College was included as one of only 38 schools in the Midwest who were named to the 2022 U.S. News & World Report list for Social Mobility. The list highlights “colleges [that] are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students.”
The 2022 edition of the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges list evaluates more than 1,850 colleges and universities on 17 indicators of academic quality. U.S. News “assesses colleges and universities based on 17 metrics of academic quality, with the most weight placed on outcome measures, such as graduation and retention rates and average graduate indebtedness. Average class size, undergraduate academic reputation and how much colleges invest in instruction and student services are among the other data points U.S. News collected to develop the latest set of rankings.”
