Hardtner ranked 421st in state for resident earnings in 2017

Hardtner ranked 421st among cities in Kansas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Hardtner residents was an inflation-adjusted $23,214 per year. Hardtner had 71 households in 2017, with a population of 168.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Mission Hills. Mission Hills's median income was $106,838 per year after adjusting for inflation – $83,624 more than Hardtner. It had 1,234 households in 2017 and a population of 3,578.

Dresden had the lowest annual resident income among cities in Kansas, with a median income of only $9,440 per year. That was $13,774 less than the median income in Hardtner at the time. Dresden had 33 households in 2017 and a population of 81.
